Swansea promosi ke Liga Primer

Tanda peluit akhir sudah dibunyiikan untuk mengakhiri pertandingan final playoff Championship Division. Pertandingan yang dihelat di Stadion Wembley menentukan jatah terakhir promosi ke Liga Primer Inggris. Hasilnya Swansea mampu mengalahkan Reading dengan skor 4-2. Tiga gol The Swans dicetak oleh gelandang binaan akademi Chelsea, Scott Sinclair. Dua gol diantaranya Ia cetak melalui eksekusi penalti. Satu gol tambahan Swansea dicetak oleh Steve Dobbie. Di sisi lain Reading mampu membalas dua gol melalui kaki Noel Hunt dan kapten tim Matt Mills. Dengan hasil ini Swansea berhak menemani Norwich dan Queen Park Rangers sebagai tim pelengkap liga primer musim depan.
